Time flies so fast. It seems there was never enough time to study and prepare for 4 grueling Sundays. Same thing even if there was an extension of one week, due to Ondoy. There was certainly no enough time to finish answering all the questions, especially with the unbearable number of questions in the 2009 bar, some say. I can’t judge because I haven’t seen the questions. Perhaps in the days to come, when these questions are dissected at phBar.
Time flies so fast, until last Sunday, 4 October 2009, the last day of the bar exams. After two full days of rest, our battle-weary examinees will begin to realize that, henceforth, time will slow down to an agonizing crawl.
Every day will be a test of patience. Every rumor will be magnified. The suspense will boil to point where you cease to care if you pass or fail — let’s just get this over with (ok, I may be wrong, of course you’d care if you pass or fail).
So, as the waiting game begins, let me to congratulate everyone for surviving the four Sundays of mind-numbing exams. Good luck and God bless, as you wait for the release of the results. You’ll be in our prayers.

Its good to be back!
Maganda umaga!
NB. Musta lang japoy…hehe.. Btw, Justice Puno will be retiring on March 17 i think.. so posible din na marelease bago siya mag retiro.
sana nga may result na soon, hirap magfocus sa work…
mas nakaka-tense ang magkaka-ibang info. just yesterday, a friend who also took the bar exam SMS me and relayed that release would be on the 16th and that 31% passed the bar…he assured such info. was taken from a reliable source. it seems everybody has a reliable source
. i guess the best thing we could do for now is wait and pray. this is my second time to take the bar and am experiencing similar emotions as the previous year. anyway, God bless to all of us.
my work is practically corporate law practice. kulang na lang license, the only thing that will some people around here to give me respect. reliable source said it is going to be on the 16th, but percentage unknown. Godbless to all of us, may we accept whatever it is!
fellow barristers, ano ang nature ng DQ, yun bang failure to answer either part or 2 of the exams? yun lang ba?
i mean, part 1 or part 2 of the exams…
Nature of DQ (disqualified)? Technically, an examinee is disqualified if he/she get a grade below 5o in any 8 bar subjects, as such, no matter how high you average is but if you get below 50 in any subject, you are disqualified (DQ).
If you did not answer the PART 1 of the 2 PARTS of the questionnaires, most likely, and the probability is HIGH that an examinee will be DQd because it is impossible to perfect the other PART he/she only answered.
If you receive any grade below 50 in any subject u r DQ.
My take is that, if the BAR examinee failed to answer either part 1 or part 2, automatically he/she will only get a maximum score of 50, that is if all his/her answers are correct or full point is given by the examiner. The examinee cannot afford to have an incorrect answer otherwise that would mean a DQ. I hope DQ ruling in the 2009 BAR Exam should be set aside. Earlier, in this thread it was also pointed out that an examinee can only afford to have a 12.5points per part to get a 75 points total (parts 1 and 2).
Based on the foregoing, we should pray that DQ ruling be set aside and the passing rate be lowered to 70, just like the 2007 BAR.
Let us continue to pray for God’s intervention for a favorable result.
Good luck and God Bless!
most of the examiners are from sbc. hehehe sa tax me strong hunch na sha e from CTA. tngnan ko nalang kung tama ako sa release. most of the odds e nasa March 16-18.
HELLO ATTY FRED. ITS THAT TIME OF YEAR NA NAMAN ANO. PERO SANA OK ANG RESULTS. PRAY FOR A GOOD MOOD KE CHAIRMAN NACHURA PARA MABAIT SHA SA ARAW NA UN.
Hi there mga dudes! What I have in mind right now is the pronouncement of Justice Nachura prior to the deadline of filing of intention to take the 2009 bar. He said, “I WANT TO PUT IT IN RECORD THAT IN THIS 2009 BAR EXAMINATION, THE PASSING RATE WILL BE HIGHER” compared to the previous bar. this is because of the two (2) examiner rule per subject and other circumstances. So please!!!lets pray that justice N. would make his word. Good Luck to all barresters!!! specially to myself.. hehe..
