Bar Examinees of 2009: Congratulations and God Bless
This is my site Posted on October 6, 2009 in Bar Exams

Time flies so fast. It seems there was never enough time to study and prepare for 4 grueling Sundays. Same thing even if there was an extension of one week, due to Ondoy. There was certainly no enough time to finish answering all the questions, especially with the unbearable number of questions in the 2009 bar, some say. I can’t judge because I haven’t seen the questions. Perhaps in the days to come, when these questions are dissected at phBar.

Time flies so fast, until last Sunday, 4 October 2009, the last day of the bar exams. After two full days of rest, our battle-weary examinees will begin to realize that, henceforth, time will slow down to an agonizing crawl.

Every day will be a test of patience. Every rumor will be magnified. The suspense will boil to point where you cease to care if you pass or fail — let’s just get this over with (ok, I may be wrong, of course you’d care if you pass or fail).

So, as the waiting game begins, let me to congratulate everyone for surviving the four Sundays of mind-numbing exams. Good luck and God bless, as you wait for the release of the results. You’ll be in our prayers.

Update: It’s Friday, 26 March 2010.

Update: Let’s congratulate everyone who’ve made the interaction in this post interesting (for the rest, please identify yourself so we could add you to the list):

Bauzon, Edward R. (think positive a.k.a. ondoy at manila times)
Dalawampu, Louie Mark M. (bubwit)
Dayo, Jesus Frederick D. (hunter killer)
Espejo, Bernadette B. (badetski)
Garce-Mejia, Racquel F. (on bended knees)
Magcamit, Eric Jay A. (ELA)
Pepito, Charisse Faith T. (miss preggy)
Tagaloguin, Fritz Z. (daques)
Toledo, Maria Joy O. (getintheaction)

Again, congratulations. I hope to see you all in court.

No one can tell at this moment as to what is the passing rate of the 2009 bar exams. But having been a former student of the Chair @ Beda, i am confident that the passing rate will not be less than 30%.

hay dami na kabado…………. sana madami pumasa sana 30% passing percentage, or mas ,mataas pa na hindi na kailangan ibaba pa ang passing rate sa 75% the supreme court should not do that… okey lang sana gawin nila na below 75% passing ng bar examinee kasi pabor yun pero please ammend muna nila rules of court promulagate new rules na dapat para sa ginagawa nilang pag-adjust ng passing rate parang nawawalan [restoge ang legal profession eh

    Rule 138-A Section 14

Passing average. — In order that a candidate may be deemed to have passed his examinations successfully, he must have obtained a general average of 75 per cent in all subjects, without falling below 50 per cent in any subjects. In determining the average, the subjects in the examination shall be given the following relative weights: Civil Law, 15 per cent; Labor and Social Legislation, 10 per cent; Mercantile Law, 15 per cent; Criminal Law; 10 per cent: Political and International Law, 15 per cent; Taxation, 10 per cent; Remedial Law, 20 per cent; Legal Ethics and Practical Exercises, 5 per cent

@ELA: Aliwin mo na lang sarili mo. Why not watch a movie? Madaming maganda ngayon kasi Oscar season. Even sa DVD, clear na din yung copy. Try watching a series like Chuck, True Blood or Glee.

Alam nyo ba guys na sa Med Board, parang 3 days lang labas na agad ang results unlike sa atin where we have to wait for eternity.

@angel_mg: How I wish magdilang anghel ka. On the 16th(if this is true), I’ll be at the SC. Hope I could shake your hand.

It would be lovely after all the hoopla if all of us here could get together for beer or coffee. It would be nice to share & discuss our bar experience.

The fact na walang announcement today sa SC’s website NEWS FLASH re-release of the 2009 Bar Result, definitely it will not be released tomorrow. Anyway, days more to count and the most awaiting moment of our lives comes out…. Sana more than 30% para mas masaya sa PICC….

MIXED EMOTIONS talaga.

eto nice NEW movies today hehe. [suggestion lang naman]
percy jackson and the lightning thief, prince of persia, alice in wonderland etc. hehe, la lang po..

    @everyone: days na lang. [sighs]
as 989_studios wrote above, hope we could shake hands.
