Time flies so fast. It seems there was never enough time to study and prepare for 4 grueling Sundays. Same thing even if there was an extension of one week, due to Ondoy. There was certainly no enough time to finish answering all the questions, especially with the unbearableĀ number of questions in the 2009 bar, some say. I can’t judge because I haven’t seen the questions. Perhaps in the days to come, when these questions are dissected at phBar.
Time flies so fast, until last Sunday, 4 October 2009, the last day of the bar exams. After two full days of rest, our battle-weary examinees will begin to realize that, henceforth, time will slow down to an agonizing crawl.
Every day will be a test of patience. Every rumor will be magnified. The suspense will boil to point where you cease to care if you pass or fail — let’s just get this over with (ok, I may be wrong, of course you’d care if you pass or fail).
So, as the waiting game begins, let me to congratulate everyone for surviving the four Sundays of mind-numbing exams. Good luck and God bless, as you wait for the release of the results. You’ll be in our prayers.

reliable sources say that deliberations will be made earlier. What i don’t know for sure is how many deliberations will be made, since only a handful in legal ethics passed if i’m not mistaken my sources say that it is 7% and around 82% were disqualified. In mercantile law exams..only 12% passed 67%were disqualified. In Political law a record breaking 65% passed and 18% were disqualified because they failed to answer both set a and b. Most of the examinees are complaining that most(—–Proctors “said that they can choose which part of the exams to answer “) i don’t know if that is true.
as per legal ethics you appeal to the mercy and consideration of the examiners and to Justice Nachura, because as we all know it, there was a typhoon and most examinees suffered a great deal of lost emotionally, physically, and psychologicaly and to show up for the last sunday was a big sacrifice.. like my friend who lost all of his review materials during the floods, he also lost most of his clothes and he lost his house and some family members including his wife and all of his 3 children.. He cannot gave them a decent burial since he has no money.. But he still went to finish the last sunday of examinations. He said, “all i can say and do is to appeal to examiner’s mercy and pity” and pray that God will some how touch his heart, and that my family will also pray for me when they get there. I’am sure most of you have this kind of story to tell, especially those who took the bar exams.. Just pray pray..pray..pray.. and Hope. See you in court my dear companeros and companeras..

You are correct Atty.Toby. Taking the bar after an ordeal brought about by Ondoy is not an easy thing to do especially if an examinee lost his property or life of a family member. Examiners should be considerate in giving grades especially the last Sunday of the 2009 Bar Examinations. Calling Justice Nachura…

it’s all up to Him.. what the examinees can do right now is to pray hard – really hard. we’re just counting days and the list of the freshest lawyers will be posted.
to all those who took the exams last year, god bless..
@ jake, did you take the exams last year? thanks

03 Feb 2010 at 16:16
yes..pray…pray..but if you can reach somehow Justice Nachura, just maybe he might have a change of heart as well the examiners..so that at least the disqualification grade is removed or lowered during the deliberations, because if that is the case, only a handfull will pass this year’s bar exams again. It is not your fault that there was a strong typhoon Ondoy, nobody could have for seen that. Even if answering the bar exams is in your hands, but there are outside forces that are beyond your control that might make the difference in the way you answer the exams, like a fortuitous event like typhoon ondoy.

If that is the case, Justice Nachura will not be able to reach his target passing percentage of 35%.

The bar exams results is usually and traditionally out every Friday. So it could have been February 12. And that will be next week?
by atty. cool
04 Feb 2010 at 12:55
usually the release of the bar is either last week of march or first week of april. Nonetheless, if it will be released this feb, that would make the long agony a little shorter. To God be all the glory and praise!

Good Luck!
