Bar Exams not Difficult
The Bar examinations are not difficult, it depends on the examinees. If he prepared well and studied well, and prayed hard, then he will make it.
The correction (by the examiners) was unusually strict so that the justices of the court felt there was a need to lower the passing rate. There was need to lower the passing grade in order to balance the correction in these three subjects.

One night I dreamed of walking along the shores of different lands.
I could tell that You were with me by the footprints in the sand.
As I gazed upon the heavens, I saw pages of my life.
It was then I realized that You remained there by my side.
When the clouds began to gather and the rains came falling down,
I looked to only find one set of footprints on the ground.
I said, “Lord, why did You leave me in the troubled times of life?
I believed that You would always walk beside me day and night.” (Then I heard:)
“My precious child, I’d never leave you.
I have carved you on the hollow of My hand.
It’s then I carried you in My arms,
When you see one set of footprints in the sand”
Dear Lord, will You be with me as I travel through the years?
Will You be there in the struggles? Will You wipe away the tears?
As my eyes turn toward the ocean and the shores of distant lands,
I’m still thinking of the single set of footprints in the sand. (I heard Him say:)
“My precious child, I’d never leave you.
I have carved you on the hollow of My hand.
It’s then I carried you in My arms,
When you see one set of footprints in the sand.”
Will I hear the angels singing, as my life comes to an end.
Oh Lord, I long to see You. Will You be there once again?
My eyes turn toward the heavens, along the path of foreign lands,
Once more, I’m thinking of the set of footprints in the sand. (Jesus said:)
“My precious child, I’d never leave you.
See your name carved on the hollow of My hand.
I’m here to carry you to your home.
You will see one set of footprints in the sand.

thanks mother teresa for that wonderful post…the 2008 barristers badly need that one. include us in your prayers.
pinaka importante sa bar other than the usual…. YABANG… dapat may yabang kayo … the arrogance to face the exams head on, no hesitation even for a moment… once you pause and doubt yourself even for a second, you fail
This one is especially for you asterisk:
Go placidly amid the noise and haste and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others; even the dull and ignorant; they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexatious to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.
Keep interested in oyur own career however humble; it is a real posession in the changing fortunes of time. Exercise caution in your business affairs; for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals; and everywhere life is full of heroism
Be yourself. Espacially, do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is perennial as the grass.
Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself.
You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be, and whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul
With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy
PS: Be brave, have faith…
since, they lowered the passing rate, does that mean may iba na below 75 yung average?
just kidding Says,
just kidding Says,
i just read your comment and i want to tell you that I will take again, hindi pa din ako ‘nadadala’.maybe, nasabi ko lang un sa first comment ko coz that was my feelngs the time that ive learned that i failed..
this place is cool. ang saya ng mga postings. Kakaaliw..
Good luck barista 08. I mean God Bless!
I am hopeful din to pass the bar this year. To teray: god bless sa ‘yo. And congratulations to the 07 passers. True enough, I also believe na whats really important e how (a lawyer) utilizes his privilege.
in philosophy, “man is naturally evil” one prominent political scientist said, but I subscribe also to the idea that “man is naturally good.” What motivates me to study law and to hurdle the bar are not just to have a place on the lifestyle section of mags and newspaper. Not just the glamour of the profession which has been like a light that lures us all.. not for grandstanding.. but more of a Passion. I could still recount the experiences I had during my court observation. Sana this passion could rev up my engine to study more para makapasa sa bar.
well good for you…goodluck!
Susmaryosep! It’s so disheartening to read the comments.
Indeed, the bar exam IS NOT DIFFICULT! What made it difficult is the checking style of the bar examiners. Can you imagine you (Im referring to the Bar Examiners) will check 6,000 booklets and all are almost essay! IMAGINE??? So, naturally, nagiging difficult talaga ang bar kasi ala nang quality checking. IMAGINE???? Kaya, suggest ko lang sana limitahan na lang ang mag take ng bar exam,Say for this batch maybe 1500 examinees will do. I get this number by multiplying the number of days with the number of months they are suppose to release the result. Assuming 1 booklet per day times 30 days times 5 months. So BINGGO! Quality checking can be had! Pero 6,000+ examinees to be checked for only say 5 month. EEEEWWWW! IMAGINE????
Ooooppps, sowi… hindi pala 1500; 150 lang po pala kasi 1booklet x 30daysx5 months = 150 pepol lang pala…. IMAGINE????
IMAGINE you are right! Hope our Supreme Court can see that. Yes, there is wisdom in it – few papers to check means quality checking! But I doubt if the Supreme Court will buy your idea! Well, we just hope they will… or if they really want thousands and thousands of bar examinees will take the bar exam, then let computers do the checking, para maiwasan ang biases! But as long as only human beings will check our papers, then the legend will remain that the PHILIPPINE BAR EXAM IS DIFFICULT(?????)

YES. A FRIEND TOLD ME THAT HIS RATING WAS 74.something. IT WAS MARKED FAILED. SINCE the passing rate WAS ADJUSTED, THE “FAILED” WAS CRUSHED OUT AND STAMPED WITH “PASSED”. ANG GALING DIBA???=)
thats life! life is like a game but always remember the rules of the game and just play it accordingly lawyers and soon to be lawyers! God is watching us!
that’s the beauty of law.. lets reason together in order to come up with an idea that is reasonable.. let’s be reasonable in making our comments here! God bless us all.
The 2007 Bar Exams is difficult as with the previous Bar Exams and those that will come after… No lawyer would say that it was a walk in the park… Be that as it may, it is not impossible to pass… passing it is a formula of many factors: questions, examiner, luck, and preparation. out of these only preparation is within your power… luck could/could not be granted through prayers, but at most it is not reliable… Thus, the only thing a barrister could do is not to Study Hard but to Prepare Well…
To all who will take it this year… make your preparations compensate for the other three factors… don’t rely too much with prayers but just the same pray harder than you had prayed before… God Bless and may you have more lenient examiners…
for those who still need review mat’ls you could email me @ blutoot58@yahoo.com, i still have the piles of reviewers i used and did not use…
