The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) had released the calendar of activities and prohibited acts in connection with the 2007 synchronized national and local
- October 31, 2006 – last day for registration of Overseas Filipinos (per Resolution No. 7715).
- December 31, 2006 – last day of the continuing voter’s registration.
- January 14, 2007 to June 13, 2007 – election period.
- January 15, 2007 to February 12, 2007 – period to file certificate of candidacy for Senators; period to file manifestation of intent to participate in the party-list system of representation.
- January 15, 2007 to March 29, 2007 – period to file certificate of candidacy for local elective positions.
- February 13, 2007 to May 12, 2007 – campaign period for Senators and political parties, organizations or coalitions participating under the party-list system of election.
- March 30, 2007 to May 12, 2007 – campaign period for candidates for Member, House of Representatives, and elective provincial, city and municipal offices.
- April 14, 2007 (host country time) to May 14, 2007 (Philippine time) – casting of votes for overseas absentee voters.
- May 14, 2007 – election day.
