why does the government allow this way of slowly killing the people. it is like fooling ones self by putting a label saying “government warning:cigarette smoking is dangerous to your health” yet still allows the company to sell more.

The most they can do is impose more sin taxes…which are passed to the consumers.

Tobacco companies can easily hold the government hostage since they have the capacity to hurt our economy (not to mention our politicians) in more ways than legal.

Unless there is an individual or a group of wealthy enough or determined enough people that will go against the tobacco companies, we can expect very little change on this segment of soceity.

In a rather pessimistic view, just as long as you have the money, you ARE above the law.
