Last August 21, 2011 is a holiday, yet it falls on a Sunday where it is a regular rest day. The company uses 313 to calculate the daily wage of a monthly paid employee i.e. 365-52 days of rest days. Therefore, our rest days are not paid. Since the holiday fell on our rest day that is not paid, are employees entitled to a 1 day wage or extra day off?

I'm for this kind of proclamations, coz it would be beneficial for us having long weekends, but it just remove the essence of the natural date of the holiday.

The law may be harsh and still become a law. But, still, it is harsh. And that harshness sometimes sparks the discontent. The same discontent that have landed politicians to office or our local unstrung heroes to fame. And which discontent if reasonable may be constitutionally protected to make that harsh law later on discarded.

Indeed, a confusion in the workplace. A million workplace. A million confusion.

The law is indeed at times harsh and confusing. A confusion to add flavor to the discontent. Yummy. :)
