We have a previous post entitled: Do you [still] want to become a lawyer. Law students are always told to stand their ground even under fire. A recent incident should perhaps give serious pause to those wanting to become lawyers. This is more than surviving the fire and pressure in the classroom or the courtroom, even.
Contrary to the expectation of many, lawyering is not an easy job.
Two lady lawyers came under fire, literally. Maybe you’ve heard of the two lady lawyers who are among the victims in the recent Maguindanao Massacre. Rest in peace, Attys. Connie Brizuela and Cynthia Oquendo. I’ve read that they were accompanying their client to the COMELEC to file the client’s Certificate of Candidacy. What should have been another day in work ends in death.
As to the barbarity of the massacre in Maguindanao, it’s beyond words . . .

Tinkering with internet tools comes with the bonus of better understanding how existing laws apply to the third wave - that of technology, particularly the internet. This is also a great medium to disseminate and discuss ideas across borders, time, color or creed.
Very True. LAWYERING requires grace under EXTREME PRESSURE! BEWARE.
I think people who are now pursuing law school and those who wanted to become one are already aware of these things. Well, our professors always tell us that being a lawyer is not an easy job, however, if we really wanted to become a lawyer, we must know how to face the challenges and consequences of our decisions.
do a person has to be articulate for him/her to pursue law? i’m a political science student, quite interested to pursue law,but actually i’m not that articulate.. my friends would tell me “taas namn ng ambisyon mo” it pisses me off..
what shall i do?
kill them!!
Don’t mind them. Sometimes, people who are not good in college are the ones that succeed in law school. My professor told me that “I have one classmate who graduated Magna Cum Laude, but she didn’t survive the second semester of her first year in Law School. Sometimes, people who are losers in college are those people who succeed. All you need is patience and the passion to become a great lawyer someday.” Makes sense right?
Mali ang “Maguindanao Massacre.” Ang sabi nga sa editorial ng Inquirer, “Ampatuan Massacre” dapat kse nangyari sa bayan ng Ampatuan ang masacre. Diablo lang ang pwedeng gumawa noon.
