I understand our bar hopefuls are under intense pressure right now, waiting for March 28. But, folks, there are more important things in life that we have to attend to — like today’s battle between Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez (billed as the “Unfinished Business”).
Except the part on “more important things in life,” I’m serious. Take time out to relax. Watching some boxing is a good way to do it. But don’t just watch. Get into the fight. Shout. Shout “yeah!” every time Manny lands a good blow, and while you’re at it, punch the air while shouting. For emphasis, kumbaga. Shout “PU*#@” every time Manny receives a good one. Shout every time they cut the fight for tons of commercials. Just shout. Scream like your life depends on it. It’s a great way of releasing stress, I tell you.
So, I’m off to watch the fight via satellite at Gerry’s-Congressional Ave. I’ll reserve the next paragraph to announce that Manny is the winner. . .
. . . Manny won! Though a close fight, it was. Split decision, 1 point. Still, Marquez was floored in the 3rd round. Crowd roars. Yeahhhhh!

atty fred, im now reserving my throat for the uproaring yell in a little while..di intawn mi pay per view so i have to contend with the annoying commercials..and thank you for this stress buster suggestion of shouting our lungs and throat out..hehe..
for a more experiental viweng experience, i will imagine that i am pacquiao and marquez is the bar exam..every punch is directed for a TKO!!..yehey!!
teray, now that the fight is done, how’s the shouting spree. I hope you feel better now…which I doubt.
The doubtful victory of Pacquiao over Marquez has been the talk of the town of late. Others even injected political jest into it. My friend has jokingly said that GMA had a wiretapped conversation with the two judges asking them to go for Pacquiao’s victory. My friend did not tell me whether GMA bribed them or not.
Hahaha I believe this is too much conspiracy theory, Lito. It was a really close fight and I also believe it was not a convincing win. Marquez showed is champion form with his effective counterpunching. But a win is a win, and we have to admire Manny for putting up a fight despite being blind in one round. Maybe they just want to make up for the first fight…Manny should have won that one.
