useful info: new lawyers (2009) will have to take 12 units of mcle. However, they cant choose any subject. They are limited to legal ethics, adr, pre-trial skill and mcle prescribed subject. It does not make sense to get the 36 units since the excess will not be credited. This is per my inquiry with an MCLE provider.

if i passed the bar last april, 2009, i am required to take up 12 units (as specified) …within 3rd compliance period (april 15, 2007-april 14, 2010). AM I CORRECT? can i take up the whole 36 units this year? what would happen to the excess units? advance units for the next compliance period, from april 15, 2010 to april 16, 2013?

waldner, i agree with you. BM 1922 applies only to pleadings and not motions.
