Somebody asked if 25 February 2008 has been declared as a non-working holiday, to give everyone a chance to commemorate EDSA People Power. Well, I’m not yet aware of any Proclamation issued by the President on this matter, so all we can do is wait. In the meantime, here are the regular holidays and nationwide special holidays for 2008, as provided under Republic Act 9492 (an Act rationalizing the celebration of national holidays). As noted in the update, February 25 is a WORKING holiday (Update: Some call it a flip-flopping of policies, but anyway, Malacanang issued Proclamation 1462, declaring February 25 as a NON-WORKING holiday).
