In a little over two months, we will have our national and local elections. Some personalities and certain events have made the May 2010 elections very interesting. Each candidate say he/she is the better choice. No surprise in that. Perhaps what’s surprising is what you’d say to explain why we should or should not vote for a particular candidate.
Some candidates say that surveys are basically paid and that the results are questionable. That, in itself, is open to debate. Still, if we have the elections today and if surveys are accurate, then Noynoy Aquino would win hands down. He is way ahead of the survey’s second placer, Manny Villar, though Villar’s figures seem to slowly improve (a recent survey placed them in a statistical tie).
Surveys, of course, could be wrong. More importantly, you may have a different vote even if the surveys show otherwise. This is the reason why the rest of the candidates are included. We could say that the lower set based on the surveys (Jamby Madrigal, JC de los Reyes and Brother Eddie and Dick Gordon) are out of the equation, but you may want to vote for them.

Reasons for choosing my candidate- Olongapo City, Suibic, wow Philippines Campaign etc. etc.. Performance base, hindi pangako base ang ginamit kong dahilan para bumoto…
Kayo, ano na nagawa nang kandidato nyo? O nangangako palang nang “iaahon tayo sa kahirapan”…yuck, sounds like old politics to me…

Napanood ko ung interview ni Arnold Clavio kay Noynoy sa Kandidato, and babaw nya sumagot parang di presidential material. Gusto ko na yata maniwala sa mga sinasabi nila ng wala syang alam. Kung sumagot wala masyadong laman.

Puro negative campaigning ang maririnig nyo kila Noynoy at Erap. Pareho silang dalawa, mababa ang level ng kampanya nila. Puro tira ang ginagawa nila sa mga kalaban. Si Noynoy sa totoo lang mahina, walang nagawa. Talagang sumasakay lang sa pangalan ng kanyang parents, tapos media favorite pa sya. Sa style ng kampanya ni Noynoy marami na tuloy ang turn off.

Parang lumalabas sa lahat ng kandidato si Gibo ang pinaka ok kahit na nakabit sya kay GMA. Malinaw ang kanyang plataporma. Kaya naman malakas ang appeal nya sya mga students, youth, and professionals. Tska di sya nagma mud slinging na katulad ng ibang mga candidato. Sa tingin ko naiinis na ang mga tao sa negative campaining ng ibang mga candidato.

Naku wala ng boboto kay Erap. Pagtatawanan na tayo ng international community kapag nanalo si Erap.

Of all the candidates, Gibo is the most qualified and appears to be the most credible. Even the way he runs his campaign, he does not go down to the level of other candidates who are mud slinging at each other. Lumalakas si Gibo kasi naiinis na ang mga tao sa negative campaiging ng ibang candidato lalo na sila Noynoy at Erap na panay ang tira kay Villar.
