With the said ramdam ko ang pag asenso? I dont know whats the truth or is there a little truth about it. Ramdam ko ang pag asenso. . . . KAYA MAGAABROAD AKO, IIWAN KO ANG PAMILYA KO, MAHAL SA BUHAY KO, AT KUNG ANUMAN NA KAUNTING BAGAY NA MERON AKO. Ramdam ko ang pagasenso. . . . kaya lahat nalang ng alam kong klase ng work ay pinasok ko na at ginawang araw ang gabi still ang maliit na negosyo at hanapbuhay ay nalugi pa. . . . Ramdam ko ang pag asenso. . . . .kasi kulang nalang ay magnakaw ka at pumatay para lang mabigyan ng sigurado at magandang kinabukasan ang iyong mga anak. . . . Ramdam ko ang kawalan ng pagbabago sa sistema ng gobyerno at pamumuno. . .maging sa bulok na sistema sa halus lahat ng ahensya ng gobyerno. Kung sila nga na mga nagnanakaw lang ay nauubusan pa how much more ang simpleng mamamayan na kailangang magtrabaho para sa kakainin ngayon?

Ang dami ng gusali, ganda ng kalsada o dami ng magagandang sasakyan ay hindi batayan o antas ng ating pag asenso sa ating lipunan. We were better off in the past…di nagawa ni Juan dela Cruz ang mag recycle ng left overs ng mga fast food para lang me makakain oo nung araw nirerecycle itong mga ito para makain ng mga alagang hayop especially ng mga alagang baboy hindi ng tao. Di rin batayan ang dami ng tao sa mall para sabihin umasenso tayo, yung mga tao sa Mall ay kadalasan ay namimili lang ng bintana, window shopping ika nga at karamihan ay nagpapalamig sa Mall. The so called “Asenso” should be felt from the poorest of the poor up to the richest of the rich, not by the privilege few.

Warrior, thanks. You’re right, we don’t need slogans to trumpet any progress there is. Admittedly, there’s an improvement in the general economic figures, in fairness to this administration (and that of FVR), something which is overshadowed by the current issues and, more importantly, by the fact that the man-on-the-street may not have felt it. Now, there’s a new round of price increases…

As far as I know, this “asenso” thing started during the martial law years. It is a ploy to entice people to think that all is going well amidst the problems then existing.

The same “asenso” mentality was resurrected by Fidel Ramos, being a child of martial law, during his, well, ho-hum administration. If I remember right, it was Ramos who commented “Sinong maniniwala na naghihirap and Pilipino” upon seing floods of people frequenting the malls. Being the hidden adviser of the present dispensation, Ramos again sold an old idea to the powers that be.

You’re right Atty. Fred to ask if economic progress has trickled down. If truth be told, it is the same people in the higher rung of Philppine society who can “ramdam their asenso.”

If there is really economic progress, we don’t need slogans to trumpet said progress.
