We asked our readers in a previous poll if they felt any economic improvement in their respective lives. The poll question relates to the commercial wherein businessmen and ordinary workers are saying “Ramdam ko ang Pag-Asenso” (roughly translated as “I can feel the progress”, but please feel free to suggest a better translation).
Now that there is, again, an increasing discussion on how difficult life has become in the Philippines for ordinary citizens, perhaps it’s only proper to reopen the poll. Ramdam mo ba talaga ang asenso? You could vote through the poll module found at the left-bottom side of Pinoy Entrepreneurs.

NO! prices are still going high… even higher, there’s still alot of unemployed people, crime is everywhere and so rampant, and there are alot of corruption issues going here and there. unlike in other countries, the taxes we are paying here in our own country are not beig maximized FOR THE GOOD OF THE COUNTRY but only for the good of the chosen few! — unfortunately, ive witnessed that myself!

It is not only the urban places like Cebu feel the progress (I am in Cebu and I feel the progress here.) – in the countryside we have our own share of progress. Everytime I spen a short vacation to my hometown (in Zamboanga del Sur), I feel the government’s presence – farm to market road (road that connects our barangay to town) is far better 3 years ago. Thanks to Tulay ng Pangulo, farmers can immediately deliver rice and easily get farm input without hassle. More than a year ago, residents of our barangay started to drink safe water,(health risks of drinking water from artisan well significantly reduced) delivery of health and social services also improved. And all children go to school. Less than 2 kilometers away is the newly established national high school – that cut the cost of sending children to town to get good education. I should not forget that after the dam and irrigation system were rehabilitated, ricefields are safe during dry season. What else do we need? Many. Do we feel that there is progress? Yes, no doubt.

Syempre hindi ko ramdam ang asenso!! yang mga nagsasabi na yan na ramdam nila.. malamang binayaran nanaman yan ni gloria! Ikaw na pilipino kahit magsumikap ka magtrabaho kung ang gobyerno ay sobrang kurakot, walang mangyayari sayo.. mamamatay ka sa khirapan! Lagi nilang pinaglalandakan ang nagawa nilang magaganda para sa bayan pero ano?! nakakatawa na lang..masakit man tanggapin pero wala nang pag asa ang pilipinas na umasenso at makipagsabayan sa ibang bansa! =(

@buloknagobyerno: Sa palagay ko’y dapat isipin muna nating mabuti ang pagsasabi ang ang mga nagsasabing “ramdam ang pag-asenso” ay “malamang binayaran nanaman yan ni gloria”. Sasabihin ko sa ‘yo na kailan man ay HINDI ako binayaran ni Gloria sa pagsasabi ko’ng iyun.
Iba-iba kasi ang tingin natin sa “pag-aasenso”. Kung sa tingin mong “wala nang pag asa ang pilipinas”, karapatan mo yun. Pero ang pagdududa at pag-pukol ng walang basehang akusasyon tulad ng “bayaran” ay ‘di magiging mabuting halimbawa.
‘Di ba hindi mabuting pakinggan kung sasabihin kong ang mga nagsasabing “wala nang pag asa ang pilipinas” ay binayaran din? Pero ayokong sabihin yun.
Maraming salamat sa pakikilahok mo sa usapang ito. Mabuhay ang lahing Filipino!

Ung ramdam ang pag-asenso sa media lang. Ang totoong umasenso sa ganitong media blitz ay ang mga may-ari ng diaryo, tv at radio na kung saan the ads are being published/announced.
The depth of poverty in the Phils has reached an insurmountable level even surpassing the proportion outlined in the Pareto principle i.e. about 80% of the wealth in most countries was controlled by a consistent minority- about 20% of the people. Sa lugar namin dumami ang namumulot ng basura, dumami ang hindi na nag-aaral at dumami rin ang mga batang nagtitinda sa kalye para may pangkain. NOW TELL ME, RAMDAM MO BA ANG PAG-ASENSO?
Despite the absence of pag-asenso, I still believe though that we, Filipinos, can survive the crisis.

My opinion, If our bases of progress is the economic situation of our government, i believe we really can’t feel the progress that we are aiming for as an individual, as of now. Because progress is not fairly distributed in the Philippines… why? for you to answer and discover…
But I believe we can only feel progress or not if we base it from our own achievements, on how we, as individual, “really” work 8 or more than 8 hours a day to earn a living, basing from how we properly use our time, or basing from how we spend our hard earned money.

yes! lahat na mamamayan sa sariling bansa ay may kanya-kanyang pananaw sa pag-unlad ng isang bansa. lahat ng tao ay may angkin na kayamanan at ang kayamanang ito ay nasasarilina ng tao na kailangan niyang ibigay. wag tayong mag sisi ng ibang tao, ang sisihin natin ang sarilinatin na hindi natin ginagampanan kung ano talaga ang role natin sa govenment. dadak-tayo ng dadak, and we ask our govenment officials na maging maayos na pinono ng bansa, but what we are doing? naging maayos ka bang mamamayan ng bansang pilipinas? even our single act na katarantadohan sabansang pilipinas ay nakakaapikto ng lubosan. some pilipinos, are really greed sa paghawak ng kapangyarihan, at pag nasakanila na dinaman alam ang responsibilidad na pinaghahawakan niya… if we want a good economy maging mabuti muna tayong mamamayan ng bansang pilipinas. “a dios”!
