I wonder what you make of the news that the passing average was lowered this year. If true, I think it’s unfair to those who almost but did not make it the previous years.
—–> i think it isnt correct to think that the lowering of the passing average is unfair to those who almost but did not make it the previous years. there is simply no comparison between the exams this year to those of the previous years and vice versa. we have to remember that: 1. this isnt the first time the passing average was lowered. 2. exams are different each year there is no easy exam all of them are hard. 3. the difference in the grades, i believe, does not really lie on the examinees’ answers, rather on the way the papers are appreciated and graded. exams may have been corrected more leniently in other exams and strictly on others. as someone who has experience in grading essay booklets, it really depends on the corrector what the grade is.. even if you got the right answer if the way it was delivered does not suit the taste of the corrector there isnt anything you can do…
