The University of the Philippines (U.P.) College of Law has announced the holding of the Law Aptitude Examination (LAE) for academic year 2008-2009. The LAE is the entrance exam for the UPLaw.
The LAE is scheduled on 25 November 2007 (Sunday, 7:30 a.m.), with test centers in UP Diliman, UP Cebu, UP Mindanao (Davao City) and UP Baguio.
Anyone planning to enter the U.P. College of Law, who has finished or is finishing at least a bachelor’s degree in the arts or sciences from a recognized college or university, is qualified to take the examination upon prior application and proper identification and registration. An applicant can take LAE a maximum of three (3) times effective SY 2007-2008.
Applicants with yearly gross family income of P100,000.00 or less are exempted from payment of testing fee.
The last day of filing of application forms is on 16 November 2007 (without fine) or 23 November 2007 (with fine). Click here to download the application form.

Please CROSS-CHECK with the official list posted at the UP College of Law. Please note that the written exam is only the first part of the selection process. There are 301 who passed the written exam. The second phase is the panel interview (schedules will be announced later by UPLaw).

Hi all! Do you guys have any idea when the deadline for the submission of other documents to the OCS – i.e. OTR and Certificate of Graduation – is? I’m still on my last semester and I think (I’m not sure about this though) I can only secure said documents right after my graduation which is scheduled in April. Add to that, according to the OUR, they will be able to process my OTR after 3-4 months due to the heavy volume of requests at that time (peak season). That said, I’ll be able to get my hands on it come July or August. Would that be okay? Would they even allow me to enroll?
Thanks in advance to anyone who would shed light on this matter.
i think you should call the OCS.
CONGRATULATIONS, passers!!!!
last year, 1400+ ung nagtake. this year, it’s about the same number (I think)… so around 15% lang pumapasa each year.
I’m currently a law student in UP. anyone who’s interested in knowing what’s in store for you next school year, you can text me @ 09273875630…
Hot debate. What do you think?

@lucky: taga davao rin ako!! I also passed. What are your plans, if i may ask?
@The Scientist: yey! glad to hear from a kababayan.
I’m not exactly from davao pero magkalapit din naman. I’m currently in QC and working on the requirements. sabi advising is scheduled after holy week pero wala pang definite date. just check the law website daw for any updates. ikaw, ano plan mo?
@cher: hopefully, di pa super late sagot ko but if you’re just graduating this sem, ok lang ata yung certificate from your college na you’ll be graduating. may 100 na babayaran for the evaluation form and the deadline is march 30. april 15 naman ang deadline ng pagfill-up ng forms (dapat handwriting mo talaga saka may mini-essays kasi) pati na rin yung other requirements. the best thing to do is pumunta ka na lang sa ocs kasi they’ll be giving you the enrolment guidelines and so you could check kung ano pa ang kulang mo.
@ojo: maraming salamat for the the info. kinuha ko na rin yung # mo.
God bless ulit sa mga pumasa! Aja! ^_^
ei, please when will be the next LAE for next school year
